The Fantastic Four: First Steps is a retro-futuristic superhero family film based on the Marvel Comics team of the same name, directed by Matt Shakman (Cut Bank) from a screenplay written by Josh Friedman (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes), Eric Pearson (Transformers One), Jeff Kaplan (The Last of the Great Romantics), and Ian Springer (Bert and Arnie’s Guide to Friendship). Featuring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn, Julia Garner, Sarah Niles, Mark Gatiss, Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser, and Ralph Ineson, it is the 37th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the second reboot of the Fantastic Four film series. Set on Earth-828, the story follows the Fantastic Four as they attempt to protect their world from the planet-devouring cosmic being Galactus.
