The Wild Robot is an animated sci-fi survival film written and directed by Chris Sanders (How to Train Your Dragon) based on the book series of the same name. Featuring the voice talents of Lupita Nyong’o, Pedro Pascal, Kit Connor, Bill Nighy, Stephanie Hsu, Mark Hamill, Catherine O’Hara, Matt Berry, and Ving Rhames. The story follows Roz, short for ROZZUM unit 7134, a futuristic utilitarian robot activated by the local wildlife after being displaced on an island. After becoming fluent in animal language, a series of unfortunate events leads Roz to become a “mother” to a baby goose she calls Brightbill.
