David Lloyd King of Statesville who has been in federal custody since 2008 was sentenced to 25 years in prison followed by a lifetime of probation for making child pornography.  The 34 year old male plead guilty in July 2009 to producing, transporting, and possessing child pornography.  He also plead guilty to molesting at least two children while making the pornographic images.

The city attorney stated that King had been collecting child pornography since 1999 and began distributing it all over the world the following year.  It was discovered when Yahoo reported that someone was uploading child pornography to a Yahoo photo account.  The account was then immediately traced back to King.
