The Punisher: One Last Kill is a gritty crime television special based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The special is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green (King Richard) from a teleplay he co-wrote with Jon Bernthal (Gary). Featuring Bernthal, Deborah Ann Woll, Jason R. Moore, and Judith Light, it is the second MCU production centered on the Punisher following the television series The Punisher (2017–2019) and the third Special Presentation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films and television series of the franchise. Set after the events of Daredevil: Born Again, Frank Castle is haunted by ghosts of his past as he tries to move on from his life as a brutal vigilante, having avenged the deaths of his family. He is drawn back into conflict by crime lord Ma Gnucci after she puts a bounty on his head for murdering her family.
