The Naked Gun is a comedic crime parody film directed by Akiva Schaffer (Hot Rod) from a screenplay he co-wrote with Dan Gregor (Dolittle) and Doug Mand (Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers). Featuring Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Danny Huston, CCH Pounder, and Kevin Durand; it is the fourth film in The Naked Gun franchise, serving as a legacy sequel to Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult (1994). The story follows Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. as he attempts to solve a murder while preventing the closure of Police Squad.
