Until Dawn is a survival horror film directed by David F. Sandberg (Shazam! Fury of the Gods) from a screenplay written by Gary Dauberman (It Chapter Two) and Blair Butler (The Invitation) based on the video game of the same name. Featuring Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Odessa A’zion, Ji-young Yoo, and Belmont Cameli, it is an original standalone story set in the same universe as the video game while expanding upon the game’s mythology. The story follows a group of friends who end up stuck in a time loop mechanic, where dying restarts the night with a new threat each time, and the only solution is to survive until morning.
