Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is a post-apocalyptic action film directed and produced by George Miller (Three Thousand Years of Longing), who co-wrote the screenplay with Nico Lathouris (Mad Max: Fury Road). Featuring Anya Taylor-Joy, Alyla Browne, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke, Lachy Hulme, John Howard, George Shevtsov, Nathan Jones, Josh Helman, Angus Sampson, and Charlee Fraser; it is the fifth installment in the Mad Max franchise, serving as a prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). Set before the events of the previous film, the story focuses on Furiosa, from her kidnapping by the forces of warlord Dementus to her becoming a trusted lieutenant of the Citadel leader, Immortan Joe.
