Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi action film directed by Wes Ball (The Maze Runner) from a screenplay written by Josh Friedman (War of the Worlds). Featuring Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon, Eka Darville, and William H. Macy; the film is a sequel to War for the Planet of the Apes (2017), the fourth installment in the Planet of the Apes reboot franchise and the tenth film overall. Set around 300 years after the events of the previous movie the story follows a young chimpanzee named Noa, who embarks on a journey with a religious orangutan named Raka and an intelligent human named Mae to save his clan from the tyrannical bonobo Proximus Caesar.
