Rustin is a semibiographical drama film directed by George C. Wolfe (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom) from a screenplay written by Julian Breece (When They See Us) and Dustin Lance Black (Milk). Featuring Colman Domingo, Chris Rock, Glynn Turman, Aml Ameen, Gus Halper, CCH Pounder, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Johnny Ramey, Michael Potts, Jeffrey Wright, and Audra McDonald. The film is based on the true story of civil rights activist Bayard Rustin, who helped Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and others organize the 1963 March on Washington.
