Minions & Monsters is an animated comedy film directed by Pierre Coffin (Despicable Me 3) from a screenplay he co-wrote with Brian Lynch (The Secret Life of Pets). Featuring the voice talents of Coffin, Trey Parker, Allison Janney, Christoph Waltz, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeff Bridges, Zoey Deutch, Bobby Moynihan, and Phil LaMarr, it is the third installment in the Minions prequel series and the seventh installment overall in the Despicable Me franchise. Set 48 years before the events of Minions (2015), the story follows a different tribe of Minions as they aim to make a monster movie of their own in 1920s Hollywood.
