Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu is a sci-fi action film directed by Jon Favreau (The Lion King) from a screenplay he co-wrote with Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) and Noah Kloor (The Book of Boba Fett), based on the Disney+ television series The Mandalorian (2019–2023). Featuring Pedro Pascal, Brendan Wayne, Lateef Crowder, Jeremy Allen White, Jonny Coyne, Sigourney Weaver, Steve Blum, and Martin Scorsese. The story follows Din Djarin and his apprentice Grogu as the New Republic enlists them to rescue Rotta the Hutt in exchange for information on an elusive target.
