The Electric State is a sci-fi action-adventure film produced and directed by the Russo Brothers (Avengers: Infinity War) from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely (Avengers: Endgame). Featuring Millie Bobby Brown, Chris Pratt, Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander, Woody Harrelson, Anthony Mackie, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, Giancarlo Esposito, and Stanley Tucci, the film is loosely based on the 2018 illustrated novel of the same name by Simon Stålenhag. Set in an alternate 1990s timeline, the story follows an orphan named Michelle who meets a robot that claims to be her deceased younger brother.
